‘Race’ is equivalent to species. Two organisms are classified as different species when they are unable to produce a fertile offspring.

Therefore, there is no such thing as human races. There is only one race, the human race.

Most recent scientific research into DNA shows that the genetic differences between two persons of the ‘same race’ are greater than between two of ‘different races’.

‘Racial characteristics’, i.e. phenotypes (what we can observe) like the color of the eye, skin, or shape of the nose are merely consequences of climate.

In Singapore, race and ethnicity are not distinguished. This implies that our thoughts, behaviors, emotions, i.e. culture, are products of our biological inheritance.

Therefore, if you’re born Chinese, you have to learn Mandarin, you’re supposed to celebrate Chinese New Year, and gambling is in your blood.
